国内趋势 Nationwide trend

《中国统计年鉴2014》记载，我国垃圾无害化处理总量达15,394万吨，其中垃圾填埋量达10,492.7万吨，占总量的68.16%；焚烧处理量达4633.7万吨，占总量的30.1%。焚烧过程中产生的二噁英是造成生态环境二次污染较为突出的问题，其次飞灰和重金属污染也始终未能很好解决。
 According to China Statistical Yearbook 2014, in 2014, the total amount of waste that was treated properly without causing damage to environment in China was 15,394 tons, 68.16% of which was from landfill and 30.1% was from incineration. However, the dioxin generated during incineration still caused secondary pollution to some degree, together with other possible pollutant from incineration like ash and heavy metal.

 2015年，我国城市垃圾人均产量达到 450公斤，而且每年以8%到10%的速度增长。我国大中城市年产垃圾1亿吨，绝大部分未经处理就堆积在城郊，垃圾堆存量逾60亿吨，侵占土地面积达5亿平方米。全国670多座大中城市，约有三分之一几近“垃圾围城”，许多百万级以上的城市垃圾已处于无处消纳之境地。
 In 2015, the waste amount per capita in city is 450 kilogram. This figure is growing with a speed of 8% to 10% per year. It was reported that there is over 6 billion tons of waste piled in suburban areas of China’s medium to large-size cities, taking up a total area of approximately 500 million square meters. Waste treatment problem is on the rise for many major cities of China. 

“十二五”期间，垃圾处理行业年均投资已超500亿元。预测“十三五”期间年均投资将超过700亿元。 “十三五”规划倡导发展循环经济， “加快建设城市餐厨废弃物、建筑垃圾和废旧纺织品等资源化利用和无害化处理系统”。生态文明建设的国家战略和蓝天保卫战的环保战役，倒逼科技创新与产业革命。
During the period of the “12th five-year plan”, the annual amount of investment in the waste treatment industry has been over 50 billion yuan. This figure is estimated to be over 70 billion yuan during the period of the “13th five-year plan” because of the increasing attention from the society and continuous support from the central government.

国际前沿 International trend
1985年起，美国就已有超过100多座焚化炉兴建计划被迫取消。1992年，加拿大安大略省通过了一项焚化炉使用的禁令，并对一些废弃物采取回收的政策。从1995年起，澳大利亚和欧洲各国（如德国、荷兰、比利时）相继颁布“焚化炉禁建令”。近年来，世界各地正在探索新的生活垃圾处理方法，其中干馏法和综合利用法开始引起各界关注。
 Since 1985, U.S., Canada, and Europe have been banning incineration because of its damage to the environment. Recently, increasing attention from many countries has been paid to carbonizationbased waste treatment technology.
